For check valves smaller than 2"(DN50), forged steel valves are introduced. Compared with castings, forged valve bodies offer the advantages of more uniform structure, greater density, higher strength integrity, enhanced dimensional characteristics and closer dimensional tolerances.
The design of forged steel check valves are also various: Swing disc / piston disc, full port, conventional port; bolt bonnet, welded bonnet and pressure seal bonnet; socket weld (SW), threaded, butt welded (BW) and flanged end.
